These policies apply to every family and every caregiver who works with Asiri Care. If you have questions about any of them, contact us before your first booking.
Child safety comes first
Every caregiver we place has passed reference checks and a background check, and holds a current CPR and First Aid certification. Caregivers follow the safety rules in our training: active supervision at all times, safe sleep, water safety, and no phone use while caring for children except when needed for the job.
Reporting a concern
If a family or a caregiver has a concern about a child's safety, they must tell us right away. In an emergency, call 911 first. We review every report, contact the people involved, and act, which can include removing a caregiver from our team. Reports of suspected abuse or neglect are referred to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF Careline: 1-800-842-2288).
Photos and privacy
Caregivers never share photos, videos or details of the children or the home without the parents' written permission. Families' personal information is used only to arrange care, and is never sold.
Confidentiality
Many of our clients are prominent individuals. Caregivers may be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement, and all placements are treated with strict confidence.
Bookings, cancellations and rescheduling
Membership fees, placement fees, cancellation and rescheduling fees are listed on our Rates page. Cancellation fees apply only after a placement is filled and confirmed.
Payment
Families agree on the caregiver's pay before care begins. We make it a priority that families comply with local and federal employment and tax laws and pay their household staff legally.
Referral service
Asiri Care acts solely as a referral service; employment decisions rest with the client. We make no guarantee of referral, placement, employment, or compensation.
Equal opportunity
Asiri Care is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, height, weight, health, age, political belief, creed, national origin, marital status, union activity, or disability, as required by applicable federal, state and local law.
Account suspension
To keep children, families and caregivers safe, accounts on Asiri Care can be suspended for:
- Inappropriate messages: insults, harassment, sexual or threatening language.
- Sharing personal information in messages before you've met: phone numbers, emails, addresses, social media, links or payment apps. Messages like these are blocked, and three blocked messages in 90 days suspend the account.
- Poor reviews: caregivers with an average under 2 stars from three or more family reviews.
- Safety reports confirmed by our team.
Suspended members can contact us to have their account reviewed.
Uniform
Caregivers receive their first Asiri Care shirt free once approved. Wearing it is never a requirement to apply; it's worn when a family asks for it and at agency events. Additional shirts are optional. See Uniforms.
